If you’re located near or just outside the border, don’t worry, we’re happy to recycle your tree!

For more than 30 years, Troop 611 has recycled Christmas trees and wreaths for families in the Happy Valley and Clackamas area as a major troop fundraiser and service project. Families place orders through this website, and once we reach our capacity, online registration closes, so please sign up early if possible.
Adult leaders and Scouts plan pickup routes in advance, then work in teams to collect trees and wreaths from local neighborhoods and bring them to the CVS (old Rite Aid) parking lot at SE 122nd and Sunnyside Road. Scouts stack trees on a flatbed trailer and use tools to remove metal from wreaths so the greens can be recycled, and the trailer is hauled to McFarlane’s Bark on Johnson Creek Road when full. (Thanks to McFarlane's for your partnership.)
This project is one of Troop 611’s primary fundraisers and also counts as service hours for our Scouts. All funds are pooled and allocated based on hours worked, helping Scouts pay for camping trips, summer camp, high‑adventure treks, and even Eagle Scout service projects.
