Recycle your natural Christmas tree with Troops 611 and 5611. Your donation funds the scouts' adventures all year.

When
Sunday, December 28, Saturday and Sunday, January 3 and 4, and Saturday, January 10. 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Where
CVS Pharmacy (formerly Rite Aid), 12002 SE Sunnyside Rd, Clackamas, at 122nd and Sunnyside.
Donation
Suggested donation: $10 for trees up to 8 feet, $8 for wreaths. Larger or extra trees, a little more is appreciated.
Pickup or Drop-off
Curbside pickup in Happy Valley and nearby Clackamas, generally the 97015 and 97086 zip codes. Or drop your tree off at CVS during recycling hours.
How It Works
- For pickup, set your tree at the curb by 8 a.m. with a note that says "Troop 611." Scouts start at 9 a.m.
- Natural trees and wreaths only. We can't take flocked trees; take those to Metro South Transfer Station, 2001 Washington St, Oregon City.
- Scouts stack the trees on a flatbed trailer, pull the metal out of wreaths, and haul full loads to McFarlane's Bark for recycling. Thanks to McFarlane's for the partnership.
- Parents and scouts volunteer their time. Donations are pooled and shared out by hours worked, toward camping trips, summer camp, high adventure treks, and Eagle projects.
Why It Matters
For over 30 years, Troop 611 has recycled trees for the Happy Valley and Clackamas communities. Trees stay out of landfills, and the scouts earn their own way to summer camp, campouts, and service projects.
